Whitetail Hollow Farms
Spring 2026 Foraging and Farm Day
Join us for a hands-on day of learning on our Florida Panhandle farm. If you’ve ever wondered “what is that plant?” or wanted to learn how to spot wild edibles safely, this is for you.
Billy Bailey of Old Ways Education will lead a foraging walk in one of our farm's open fields, working the tree line and woods edge, and teaching hands-on identification (choose AM or PM). After the foraging walk, Gigi and Jed will lead a farm tour and share what daily life looks like at Whitetail Hollow Farms.
Expect animals, gardens, good conversations, and plenty of fresh air. Put on those pedometers, you’ll get your steps in.
Lunch will be served after the farm tour, and it’s the kind of simple, good food we actually feed our own family: a 100% grassfed hamburger or a 100% beef hot dog, plus chips, a cookie, and water.
During lunch, you’ll also have access to our attendee-only plant sale with a curated mix of native/naturalized plants, edibles (veggies + herbs), and flowers (limited quantities, while supplies last).
If a day outside learning in real-life nature sounds like your kind of Saturday, we can’t wait to host you.

Quick Rules
- Ages 12+ only. No younger, no exceptions.
- This is a guided event. No self-guided wandering of the property.
- AM and PM foraging walks are separate sessions (one session only, no swapping).
- Closed-toe shoes are required for safety. No flip-flops or sandals.
- Dress for walking and the outdoors. We’ll be on the farm and along the woods edge, so ticks and bugs are part of real life here. Long pants and bug spray are a good idea.
