About These Eggs

These non-fertile eggs come from one specific emu hen in our flock who is not housed with a mature male. She lays reliably each season, but because she is not paired, her eggs are not fertile.

All of our other emu hens are housed with mature males, and their eggs are sold as fertile hatching eggs through our separate pre-order listing.

These particular eggs are perfect for:

• Carving
• Scrimshaw
• Etching
• Blowing/drilling
• Painting & decorative art
• Display pieces

They are not suitable for incubation, and they are sold whole and intact (not blown out).

These eggs are the same high-quality shells produced by our flock every season, with the only difference being that they are non-fertile.

No. These eggs are sold whole and intact. They are not blown out, drilled, or emptied. You must empty them yourself if your project requires it.

No. These eggs come from a hen that is not housed with a mature male, so they are non-fertile.

Which emu lays these non-fertile eggs?

These eggs come from one specific hen who is not currently housed with a mature male. She lays regularly each season, but her eggs are non-fertile. This is the only hen in our flock that produces non-fertile eggs. All other hens are paired with mature males and lay fertile eggs.

Are your other emu eggs fertile?

Yes. All of our other emu pairs produce fertile hatching eggs, which are available through a separate pre-order listing.

When will my eggs ship?

We will ship as quickly as possible while allowing for safe packaging and USPS scheduling.

How are the eggs packaged?

Each pair is placed in custom foam inserts and shipped inside a USPS Medium Flat Rate Priority Mail box. This provides excellent stability and shock absorption during transit. Every shipment is insured for the full order value.
